Heather R. Gordon, CPA, MBA
Heather specializes in managing audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of industries. She focuses on working with clients to make audits, reviews, and compilations as streamlined and as efficient as possible for both the client and the CPA. As a member of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy's Peer Review Oversight Advisory Committee, she advises the Board of Accountancy on matters relating to the peer review program for CPA firms. The peer review program's goal is to promote and enhance quality in the accounting and auditing services provided by CPA firms.
She has particular experience with the following industries: construction contractors, healthcare, service, and manufacturing. She also has significant experience working with nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies, including performing compliance audits and assisting smaller nonprofits with their general accounting needs and the exemption process. In addition to offering financial reporting expertise to a variety of business clients, she has experience with financial, compliance, and performance audits of governmental agencies from her experience working for the California State Auditor’s Office.
Heather’s educational background consists of a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from California State University, Chico. She also earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of San Diego, graduating summa cum laude. She currently volunteers her time as Treasurer of Horses Help, a non-profit premier accredited therapeutic riding center. She was also a former Treasurer of GET Phoenix, a networking and professional development group for young professionals, and a former Treasurer of the Active 20-30 Club of Redding.
